"Painting empty plastic soda and water bottles is a great kids project. They can make some interesting characters, put them on a stick and decorate the yard. The problem is that it is very costly to buy enough acrylic paint to cover them. Mix white craft glue into inexpensive poster paint and you have paint that will stick to that slick plastic surface."
