This is a fun diorama project for any age!
how to for: child Great for Kids
Details

You will need:

A Box - Shoeboxes are good

Construction Paper

Tissue Paper

Thread

A Large Tapestry Needle

Toothpicks

Scissors

Glue

Pictures or Photographs of Ocean Animals

OR

Some Ocean Animals Clipart

These are some general guidelines. Please be creative!

Step One: Cover the top and sides of the inside of the box with blue construction paper. Cover the bottom of the inside of the box with a sand colored construction paper.

Step Two: Choose what animals you want in your diorama. Cut them out and color them, if necessary.

Step Three: Glue animals that you want to appear swimming onto a piece of thread. Let dry. Have mom or dad poke a small hole in the top of the box. Bring up the thead through the hole and tie a knot at the desired length. Cut off excess thread.

Step Four: Glue animals that you want to stand at the bottom of the box to a toothpick. Let dry. Trim the toothpick, if necessary, so that it doesn't show. Have mom or dad poke a small hole at the bottom of the box and glue the toothpick into the hole.

Step Five: Tear pieces of tissue paper and glue to the bottom of the box to make ocean plants.

Step Six: When you are happy with your diorama, cover the outside top and sides with construction paper. Enjoy!
