Valentine Box

Make this cute Valentine Box with a recycled shoe box.
how to for: both child and adult Nice project to do together
Details

Valentine Box
Make a cool box to collect Valentine's Day cards in. A fun way to recycle an old shoe box.

Materials Needed:

  • Box (shoe box, cereal box, etc)
  • Construction Paper or wrapping paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Paintbrush
Instructions:
You can use a cereal box, shoe box, baby wipes box, or any other box you can find! It is funner to use wrapping paper with fun designs, but you can also use construction paper. Cut out designs from the paper. You can cut out the designs already on the wrapping paper or cut out hearts or other shapes you want. Cut out plenty because you will be covering the whole box!

Water down the glue - 2 parts glue to 1 part water. Lightly brush some glue on the box and stick on the shapes and designs you cut out. You want them to overlap so you do not see the box. Work in small sections until the entire box is covered. Set aside to dry. Once it is dry, you can lightly brush over your box with the glue and water mixture to make it more durable and shiny; however this is optional.
